I've seen more unusual clouds this summer than what I remember seeing in the past. I've seen some really wonderful cloud formations lately and didn't have my camera in the car with me. It's a shame! Once I figured out that it was the humidity levels making my sensors go all wonky - I stopped carrying it with me to run my errands. I can't go outside very long with it right now either. As soon as I start to see those jumpy lines in the view finder - time to get back into the AC!
31 more uploads... Will the old broad make it count?
Uploading early. Things to do and trying not to get behind on uploads again.
@cromwell LOL! I can imagine! Too many cloud and flower shots, right? Trying to get in something besides flowers and macros, Cromwell. Gotta turn my perspective on the forest instead of the trees once in a while. =)
Everyone loves clouds- and I agree, I have seen more interesting cloud formations in the last 2 years than I have seen in any 2 years of my life- maybe it has something to do with the heat and the big ice melt at the polar ice cap.
Love your pov .... same thing happening here all of a sudden. Clouds are amazing here lately. But I'm never satisfied with my results...we're taking a few days off to go up North. Some beautiful places up there for inspiration. Love your clouds, Maggie. And yes, I think that you'll make it!!
i've noticed that my lens doesn't focus very quickly when i have it on auto focus and i've been wondering if it was the humidity. I know it slows me down;) these clouds are pretty!!
@vernabeth You are so sweet! Thank you very much, Beth!
@sugarmuser Appreciate your lovely remarks! Thank you, Sharon!
@amandalomonaco Thank you, Amanda! Yeppers, it'll do that to ya!
@dauber I don't know. Seems like I always saw gorgeous clouds in Florida and Texas. But, South Carolina is a different story. Thank you for your comments and visit, RL! Most appreciated!
I love this photo, Maggie. The way the trees frame the clouds and their beautiful colors. We have had some of the most beautiful clouds also. Maybe it is that I am noticing things like this so much more being on here.
@karenann You are a sweetheart, Karen! Hope you have great time and enjoy your trip! Thank you for your kind comments, as always! Shoot your heart out while you're there!
@paulaag Seems the slightest bit of moisture is no good for electronics. I've noticed my lens doing the same lately but, I thought that was the battery. Oiy! Thank you for your comments, Paula! Always a pleasure!
@darsphotos Thank you, Darlene! You comments are so lovely! We both need to spread out a blanket, lay down and just shoot the clouds some days! LOL! I usually have to go some where when they're at their best!
@kdimagery Appreciate your sweet remarks, Kd! Thank you for the vote of confidence, too! Ahh, can't live without AC down south. Too hot for too long! Upper 90s and 100s April through October and sometimes November. We really don't have a long spring or winter season like you do. It's only really cold during December and January. I could go without electric heat and just a fireplace, but no AC? I'd die in this weather furnace!
Very interesting, lovely cloud formation! I like the trees framing the shot too. 8) I rarely turn on the air-conditioning. But the electric fan is always on! 8P
@myautofocuslife I take it you haven't hit menopause yet with the hot flashes? I have not been able to tolerate the heat since it hit me. But, I suppose if you're used to that kind of heat, it's not bad.
@marlboromaam I'm probably pre-menopausal, in the past two years my cycles have been wrecked beyond recognition, haha! But no, I don't tolerate the heat well despite having been born and raised here, not to mention I sweat like you wouldn't believe. Most men I know (including my husband) don't even sweat like that when they run or jog! On the other hand, I can't say I prefer cold weather. I have hypothyroidism, and with it comes cold intolerance. Sometimes I feel like my existence is a joke, neither suited for the heat or the cold, where am I supposed to live! XD
@myautofocuslife I used to be told that San Francisco stayed an average of 65F all year long... I tolerate 20 to 30F fairly well, but colder than that -no. I love brisk days around here when it's about 40 to 45F. That's invigorating to me and I can get lots of work done outside. That's about 60 degrees difference in the temps right now. I don't know how you can stand it without running the AC, Livia!
365 has certainly opened my eyes to the wonder of different clouds! I took the sky and its glorious contrasts for granted before! Wonderful shot! Love the tree silhouettes framing the shot!
Ya know, i was thinking the other day about how many beautifully perfect types of cloud days we've had here this summer.. The whole gamut.. These would have had me running back into the house for my camera for sure, lol
Thank you, ladies and Dione for all your lovely comments and the visit! I appreciate each of your support so very much! I believe we can all say that 365 has opened not just our eyes, but our minds, too! Taking photos of different subjects and in different ways. Yet, no one can see your worlds the way YOU do! I enjoy seeing your pics immensely!
@daisy Thank you, Kathryn! Appreciate your comments! Climate changes (cooling and warming) have been going on since the beginning of the earth. If you mean "man-made" climate change, I'm not drinking that Kool-aid yet. My jury is still out on that based on the cycles of the sun and other factors I've read about.
@pammerritt LOL! Are you anxious to get rid of me? JK! Thank you for your kind comments, Pam! I'm hoping to start working again in a couple of weeks. There may be a bit of a delay in finishing.
