Cloudy and cool morning, so I was able to get into my woods for a bit. Good to see that old dismembered Spanish Oak that still stands tall with that hairy vine growing up it's trunk. More about Spanish Oak Trees here - http://namethatplant.net/plantdetail.shtml?plant=1184
Time keeps marching on; you've posted for November already. (I'm still in the early evening hours of Oct 31st.) This great tree has seen a few Octobers and Novembers. They come to feel like friends, don't they, these stately trees in the woods.
@lyndemc At 7 PM, I can post for the next day - so I discovered a few weeks ago. It's only 8:23 PM here now. I started doing this because I never know if I will have to dash out in the wee hours of the morning for my mom and if or when I'll be able to come back home. Yes, this old tree is like an old friend. For nearly eight years, I couldn't get back there. This tree was posted in my album on 10/31/11. LOL! Hasn't changed much, but I sure have - much older and decrepit. LOL!
@cocobella Was too cool for them to be out when I took this shot. If they were out, they were busy trying to warm themselves. When it's above 60 degrees, I just don't venture into the woods around here.
