Our Carolina wild jasmine is the state wildflower for South Carolina. It is a native wild semi-evergreen vine and NOT a nursery-grown shrub. It produces yellow trumpet shaped blossoms in February or March - depending on the temps and the blooms have a heavenly scent that pollinators love. You can see it draping from the trees along the highways in the early spring full of bright yellow blossoms. It sheds its leaves in later spring when new leaves begin to grow and it has long finished blooming.
