Packera tomentosa, also known as Woolly Ragwort, Woolly Groundsel and Woolly Goldenwort. Native to the southeastern USA, this wildflower has been documented to feed 16 different butterfly species, other insects and the birds feed on the seeds. Great shot of this pretty flower. It looks very like our Oxford Ragwort.
I love the little spotty bug too, nicely spotted as he is well camouflaged there.
