A non-native from Eurasia, this is Hypochaeris radicata. Commonly known as Hairy Cat's-ear, Spotted Cat's-ear and Cat's Ear Dandelion. Not a true dandelion, you can tell the differences by the stem and leaves. More info here - http://namethatplant.net/plantdetail.shtml?plant=731 and here - https://www.illinoiswildflowers.info/weeds/plants/rgh_catear.htm It feeds bees, including honeybees, bumblebees, Plasterer bees, Andrenid bees, and Halictid bees. Syrphid flies occasionally feed on the pollen and are probably ineffective at cross-pollination. It also attracts white and sulfur butterflies.
