No Mow May 30...

Opuntia mesacantha - Better known as Eastern Prickly Pear. These will pop up in the front yard and I let them grow - mark them off and mow around them. The blossoms will only last one day. I caught this one at just the right time. So lovely. The petals are very delicate and translucent. More info here - http://namethatplant.net/plantdetail.shtml?plant=988 Really nice on black if you have the time.
A beautiful flower.
