Be it ever so humble...

It's a very old southern tradition to have ferns on the front porch. No shade-loving fern would live long on my porch until I was told about asparagus ferns. As you can see the hanging baskets of asparagus ferns are in full morning and early afternoon sun, and they do very well. Heat and drought tolerant. Shot in monochrome mode.
Great POV and composition. Love the B/W

Your house has great appeal. I should switch out my Boston ferns for the Asparagus ferns.

They sure are tough. But unfortunately, also prolific seeders and spread like mad. You might need to keep an eye out for small ones popping up - they grow really quickly and can take over natural habitats...

@rhoing Thank you, Thom!

@robz This variety doesn't seed and only lives for two years - if they make it through any freezing temps in our winter. Plus I keep them in pots and hanging baskets. So no worries. =)

@kjarn Thank you, Kathy.

@haskar Thank you very much, Haskar.
