False Turkey-Tail Fungus...

One of my fungi finds from the woods during the past couple of below freezing temp mornings. Also known as Stereum ostrea. It's NOT normally tinted green, but I have learned from my research that algae will color it that way. More info here - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stereum_ostrea

Interesting to know what causes that green coloring - I see it a lot around here

@milaniet Wet warm weather will cause algae to grow on almost anything. LOL! This fungus will hold water too. This morning it's in pieces. Either something ate it or the freeze shattered it. I read that deer, squirrels and chipmunks will eat fungus and lichens.
