As I understand it, the idea of an abstract is to show something of the nature of the beast without disclosing what beast it is.
I did some reading on this topic a few years ago and interpretations of 'abstract' seem to vary quite a bit so others' ideas may well not be the same.
Cool patterns, depth and definition, the form of the holey bits and the sharp edges show up really well. Nice one!
