My get pushed partner Jay, @jaybutterfield gave me the challenge to "try experimenting with long exposure - this can be light trails or ICM (intentional camera motion) or another technique." If I can find the right vantage point I may get out and try to capture light trails. My previous results in that technique have been fairly unsatisfying. In the meantime, though I have tried some ICM before, I long for something akin to the gorgeous stands of trees or other strong verticals I've seen others capture. Sigh. Everything is so blah right now. Gray-brown and not exciting. My few attempts at the beginning of the week left me feeling like I was living in the beginning of the Wizard of Oz movie -- all monochrome until she reaches Oz. And that's not really Kansas. What I need is one of @kareenking Kareen King's trademark Kansas Sunsets and then add the ICM. In the meantime, I went to the library and contented myself with the verticals on the shelf. Do you know what kind of books are in the 770 - 779 range?
