Rainbow March 3-14

A variety of US coinage (heads and/or tails) and a $2 bill. A few things of note: The dark, worn, scroungy looking penny is from 1943. That one year, there was no copper content in the pennies. it was needed for war purposes. Here. you see a Kennedy half dollar from 1964. He was killed in November 1963 and so they must have rushed that into design and production in order to get one in circulation dated 1964. The Susan B. Anthony dollars were unpopular as they were too close in size and appearance to quarters and could be mistaken for them. On the back there was a design featuring an eagle landing on the moon. It is the same design used on some of the Eisenhower dollars. (not shown here.) I have here a 1951 quarter (year I was born), a 1978 Eisenhower dollar (year Dan was born), and a 1971 half dollar (Frank and I met that summer) etc...

* This week I’m using “Scanography” (the scanner) — remembering a get pushed challenge someone once gave me to create a flat lay using that method.
A nice photo of the US cash and coin.
