Our plans for a final get away in the caravan before Graham's knee replacement surgery were dashed last night as we're back in lockdown with mandatory mask wearing. At the moment it's only until midnight on Monday but I fear that it will be extended as we have had some community transmission. People are expected to do the right thing and the penalties for failing to comply are pretty tough, with a woman being fined $1,000 for refusing to wear a mask at a Super Rugby game last night. It was reported that "She failed the attitude test."
Sorry about your new lockdown, I wonder when this will all be a thing of the past. Mask wearing is mandatory here since covid first started, we are so used to it now.
Nicely captured - sorry you have to cancel your plans. I do wish that the US would be stricter with masks and travel - even if we had laws in place, they would not be followed unless there were penalties.
So sorry to hear you’re going into another lockdown. It really isn’t much fun is it, especially when you have plans which have to be changed. It’s been awful here but now the restrictions are gradually being eased. I just hope everyone is sensible and does the right thing but we all know there will be idiots who aren’t sensible and who don’t do the right thing.
Oh dear...frustrating with plans being so vulnerable right now, especially with surgery to follow. Sounds like people are doing the right thing, though, to keep the spread from being worse to out of control.
Great focus, so good against the stark white background.
I didn’t hear about the fine! Hope Graham’s surgery goes well. (The post op exercises are really important)
If we are to get rid of this virus we need to observe tough measures which, I am sorry to say, are not always followed by the residents and by those who have the power to implement them. I put on my mask even before I put on my pants and make sure I keep my distance from others.
well done and finding beauty here
So sorry for you. Hope it will be soon regulair again.
