Caught these last few surviving coreopsis in a spot on the side of the creek this evening and loved the way the setting light was hitting them. Take a spot of color anywhere I can find it with all the brown we're seeing.
Gorgeous late afternoon light. It really makes those yellows glow. I thought of you as we were driving through a series of intense thunderstorms in Rhode Island today with flooded streets and even some hail!!
