I had never noticed the queen anne's lace when it was finished flowering - almost shaped like a wicker softball, but prettier. What intricate design patterns it has. Really noticible viewed large.
Lovely capture of the flowerhead, the shot looks almost like it's 3D. They look beautiful in all their stages of development, the construction in so intricate. Lace is an apt description.
Great shot. Aren't nature's patterns wonderful? There is a good book called The Mandala Book which has beautiful photos of the patterns of the universe. I think you'd find it interesting.
Beautiful shot! Queen Anne's Lace is a wonderful wildflower. It attracts lots of insects and it's a hardy plant. When everything else was dying in the drought, it survived.
