There are 3 little squirrels down by the city Horseshoe Pits area that play under the trees - one is a totally grey squirrel and the other two are a mix of the red and grey. They are usually pretty skittish but today this one kept following a routine of picnic table to trees to woods and back. Just waited him out on caught him on his 3rd pass.
I'm so enjoying the squirrel photos that are shared here on 365, this one included. I think they're such darling creatures and could watch their antics for hours as it sounds like you did in order to get this picture.

Awww, what a pretty boy! We have grey squirrels and black squirrels around here, but grey are much more common. I remember seeing little tiny reddish ones when I was a kid, but I haven't seen any in quite some time! Great capture!
