If it wasn't for the early morning light hitting right on him, I think I would have missed this Woodland Skipper - it sure was another wet morning - just look at that dew. Not much else stirring.
The bugs certainly aren't going thirsty at your place! The way all those water droplets collect on the fuzz of the plants is so amazing. Wonderful capture of this little winged wonder.
Thanks for the comment shared on my Down a Country Road pic. You're right about the corn looking healthy this year. It's been a good season for the local farmers with adequate rain and no damaging winds. They do wish it had been a little hotter in early August, but I'm sorry, I'm sure glad it wasn't. (Obviously I don't make my money off corn or I'd probably feel differently about the weather.)
