I flip flopped between this killdeer and a nicely focused good dof mockingbird shot - Killdeer won for the tilt of his head - like "You really mean me?" Hard for me to get these guys.
So cool, love the twinkle in his eye!

Fantastic photo of a killdeer! However did you get so close to him? I tried several times over the summer to create a picture of one of these little cuties but they just never stood still long enough. Darling expression you caught.
