Great detailed capture. Obviously well timed! Love the surrounding lookers leaves. I guess the stripes break her White front to help with camouflage. Unusual markings.
These are fun birds. They use to nest near our driveway, but haven't seen any for a good while. Maybe because of all our neighbor's cats. Have you ever seen their babies when they hatch? They can walk right out of the egg. They look just like a miniature adult and they will climb on mom's and dad's backs.
What a super capture of this little Killdeer!!! I've been trying to capture the little buggers for over a week now! There are several ove at the farm, but like you said, they run real fast or fly real fast also!!! This Spring when they are sitting on nests it will be much easier to get a photo!! Don't you just love the rings on their necks and the red eyeliner? Awesome details and lighting!! Super FAV!
