Look at that Eye

I have seen coots (from a distance - they won't let me get close!) before but never been able to get a shot - they immediately head out of range. This one must have been quite confident or deaf and blind - Got up close to him. What a sweet little duck.

We have coots too, they're great little birds. I love their big feet - they're not webbed, though you'd never guess by the way they swim.
