All my shots today were taken in a winter wonderland of hoar frost - I'll take that over snow any time! These were taken at Mt. Magazine - some 40 miles from us - you could see the frost on the mountainside from our town so we drove up there.

I so agree about hoar frosts. Many years ago we drove through a wooded area when there was a hoar frost and it was like driving through a fairytale.
@shirleyv Used the wide angle zoom at its closest - no tripod - really do like it for shots like this - like the color it gives - took a little bit of work focusing with that background, but not bad. Have a tripod, just never think to carry it with me.
