My husband tells me this pecan tree is probably dead - I say it can't go - it's where I catch most of my birds! Love this flicker - he showed me most of his markings - you can just see the yellow at the end of the tail.
Great shot. Unfortunately, they do tend to cut down the favorite trees. I know. My hawks haven't been around near as much as when that dead pine was standing. :-(
