If you stop and think - and if mockingbirds are common in your area - do you remember seeing one with the tail down like a hawk? I always see them with that perky tail sticking out - all the other shots I got of him today were traditional.
Like you, we usually see the tail up. You caught this one in a really neat position, and that yellow perch adds a cheery pop of color. Such a pretty picture!
I wish these were more common where I live. I don't have enough trees around my tiny little neighborhood to make this a safe haven for mockingbirds. Love it when I hear them elsewhere tho. This one's given you a very nice pose.
