Following Mom (or Dad)

Looked out and saw the adult red bellied woodpecker working on the dead pecan tree - then looked again 3 minutes later and there was junior doing the same thing. Fairly windy as you see by the feathers,

Dad. The red covers the whole top of its head. Females only have red on the back of their heads and neck. Nice capture!
