Today was a crispy cold day, with strong winds. (-20° Celsius, in respect of the wind chill.) There is a warning for a winter storm out, but nevertheless today there have been a bit of a blue sky. So I went to the Fluess Chapel, with the two huge and wonderful linden trees.
For those who are interested in the story: the original Flüss Chapel was built in 1678. Pilgrims suffering with toothache came to this chapel, hoping the pain would ease off, when they bite into the wood of the benches. Some have even cut out pieces of wood, and took them away. In 1918 the badly worn benches, had to be replaced by new ones.
The clouds add a lot of interest for me. They seem to be threatening to push over the horizon with angry weather. A sunny scene with ominous tones in it.
@terryliv Hi Terry. Your are right, its a different chapel, at a totally different place. This one is not so extremely remote, as the st. jost chapel is. Thank you for the Wow!
@rleidner Thank you for your comment. Acutally the angry weather came form behind. The cold wind gust on the crete, realy shortended the session. But still ithwas worth it, to go there and let my hands freeze to numb.
