My nephew D., turned 20 today. Tomorrow there is a party, no actually there are two parties. One of the wrinklies (us) and one for his friends. I am in charge to bake a bit, what I did this afternoon. Ham croissants (my specialty), lemon muffins, and a very special premiere: Carolyns @ckwiseman Texas Sheet Cake. Thanks again for your kindness to provide the recipe.
Have a nice weekend everyone!
It all looks so yummy!! How wonderful of you to take the time to bake all these goodies in celebration of D's birthday! Have a great time. :)
PS: I love this shot, your lighting is perfect. :)
@kerosene No, I buy the puff pastry (mille-feuille), because this is nearly impossible to do properly at home. It would be very time consuming. But I do the filling and roll every single mini croissant.
I think it is my favourite part of celebrating in Europe that you don't get to eat the store-bought acidly-colored sugar-tasting birthday cakes, with the side of ice-cream.
You picture is lovely, with such warm and inviting light throughout.
It all looks delicious!! I hope the cake tasted as good as mine did this week! What fun to share across the miles. This is a great image of your delicacies!!
Oh, I see now, it's for your nephew!! That's what I get for working through your album backwards! ;-)) Love those lemon muffins.....they certainly have a personality of their own!
