2015-12-02 morning mood

My nephew and youngest godchild F. played me “morning mood” from Edward Grieg today. Single handed, as his right arm is broken and stuck’s in a green cast. Kickboard stunt (jump) fail,… means his wearing this cast like a little hero. ;-)

Nevertheless, we kept up our advent-tradition and crafted wonderful Christmas gifts together today. Psst, don’t tell anybody. We decorated spaghetti glass containers. They are now in the oven for permanent fixation of the foil. In my opinion they look colourful and gorgeous.

I love it having my sisters and sil's children over. Until Christmas I will have several bricolage-afternoons with them. :-)
How nice! I used to play it when I played piano. This is a beautiful picture to go with it - full of light and dreaminess.

Love hearing about other people's Christmas traditions Mona.

By the look of his one hand, he is a little chap! So very clever to be able to do this! Nice blurred look for this picture!

Beautiful! Wonderful composition. If you used a Lensbaby, which it appears that you may have, you can tag it for the on-going Lensbaby month, this December, as "lb-dec-15."

@rosiekerr Hi Rosie, thanks for your kind comment. No, I have no Lensbaby, not yet! I'm hoping for Christmas but psssst,... This is post processing in PS.

Love it Mona! I'm glad F's broken arm is not hindering him at all and how wonderful of you have these wonderful traditions. :)

This is wonderful.

What neat focus on this! Sounds like your nephew's stunt may slow him down temporarily but definitely isn't stopping him.

Beautiful capture, lovely lighting for the keyboard. Perfect processing to focus the eye.

You are so talented Mona, and this is so gorgeous, fav of course. Reading what you say about making things with your nephews (and nieces?) reminds me of when I used to have a Christmas crafts day every year with my nieces, who are both teenagers now. There is nothing more fun to do!

Super shot Mona, beautiful. I love the story that accompanies it as well. How fun it sounds, you are truly enjoying the season!

@tristansmum Thank you very much Stephanie. There are 7 nephews and two nieces from nearly 9 - up to 20. And some neighbours and friends children coming too, - to my craft afternoons. The bigger ones have difficulties to find time between college, learning for exams, soccer, karate, music lessons, boy-girl scout meetings and friends. Some years they are on, other off.

@kerosene Hi Caroline, thank you very much for your comment. I found out over the years, what I would need, that I can enjoy the season. But I'm very susceptible to negative stress, this crazy comercial behaviour, etc. Sometimes I can't even enjoy things I love, because I'm to stressed.

@novab Dear Nova, thank you, so kind. No worries F. kind of enjoyes his cast and the story of this stunt fail. His not blocked in neither way. (And the cast looks alike. I could not post a picture, because it is quite dirty, and has to be replaced soon ;-). Having quality time with all these children from my family and some friends is for me a lot about Christmas should be. It's a pity that you live so far away, I would love to invite G. too, to this bricolage-afternoons and sit down with her, making unique jewellery, or so.

What a nice thought that over the sea there is a welcoming house where bricolage afternoons happen. Lovely picture.
