Did You Know: 2016 brought the earliest arrival of spring of our lifetime (thus far!) in the Northern Hemisphere? So let’s celebrate springs earliest arrival since 1896.
In 2016 spring had a very early start, thanks to leap day weirdness. Have you noticed that the vernal equinox used be on the 21st? This year, spring begins March 19 or 20 depending on your time zone.

Our day started with fog and ended with fog. But in the afternoon it lifted a bit and we had a couple of hour’s perfect spring weather. I counted 3 peach trees that bloom already. The buds of the apple-, cherry-, pear-trees are still tightly closed.
Thank you kindly for the great and nice responce of yesterdays muscari shot.
A beautiful shot M, your area seems to be ahead of us this year.
I did see a couple of green shoots in my garden yesterday, but today they are covered with more snow, as we have 10-15 cms on the way.
