The Ginkgo tree is a phenomenon,... a sacred tree in the East, a symbol of unity of opposites, by some seen as a symbol of changelessness, bearer of hope and a symbol of love. Because of all its properties it is associated with longevity.
But there is another phenomenon is that the leaves of Ginkgo trees can fall all at the same time. This is recorded all over the world in fall. Also my little male Ginkgo biloba "Mariken" lost nearly all his special shaped and golden leaves last night. (Or did the leaves lost the tree?).
