Great hike on the rim of the Aiguilles de Baulmes. Midway is a little cave (Cave noir = black cave) accessible over a via ferrata. The entrance is wide but then you have to crawl for about 50 meters on your stomac, after an even tighter gap with a twist it opens up to this cavern. It was pitch black in the whole cave and I managed only a few pics when hubby M. enlighted his face with the phone flashlights. Even if this is only a little cave, it was a great highlight of a nice hike. First time in a while not carrying all that heavy winter gear. Still there is little snow on the summit. And we are really dirty... but š.
I love this. My husband and I used to go spelunking in Wyoming. It totally comes back to me how it felt to belly crawl with the weight of the mountain on top of you and then open up into an area that felt enormous, like underground space, but you could see nothing, not even your own hand.
