Hiking a little part of the the Jura Crest Trail the last two days. This is in the French part of Switzerland and around 250 km from my home. Far away we could always see the Alps and the Mont Blanc Massif, as well as the jigsaw puzzle of grain, vegetable and rape fields. And en route we had: craggy cliffs (here it goes down 500 meters in one drop (no rails)) and deep ravines, springs and lakes with no visible outlets, tranquil forests and meadows. We had a fab time, but now we are back home.
What an awesome view!! This photo reminds me of my hot-air-balloon ride last Sept, because if I wanted to have this type of view here in NS, I'd need a balloon because we don't have any mountains to climb that are this high. :)
