Today is kinda sad for us people who use Picnik as it's closing tomorrow permanently. I've loved using its special effects on my photos, its collages and had lots of enjoyment from people commenting on how the effects have improved my photos; as well as their own.
How I'm going to miss this photo editing program can't be put into words. So, today, I took as many photos of my morning and placed them into a collage.
There's a two I took on my iTouch of Little Miss Stevie and me playing silly buggers with the self-photography feature on my iTouch... she's so sweet playing around with it and loves getting a kiss on the wings.
I took a photo with my Canon Powersho A590 of the butterfly on the fence, grasshopper having a stretch and the water droplets on my plants while the washing was being hung out.
Then, after all three loads were out on the line, I went for my morning walk and found some art of mine which I thought was gone years ago; but it hasn't. It's survived rain, the Logan City Council fixing up the trees and storms; and it's still attached. The piece of leather was where my website was attached; however when I tried to remove, I was attacked by some ants who had made the knot in the leather their home. How strangely weird is that?
So, goodbye to Picnik... this may be the last day we see you here in Australia, how ever, I've been making up a collection of them over the last two weeks to put up here on 365 Project. So, the program may be gone, but my collages are not. :D

Yes, it will take a lot of getting used to Picnik not being around. Someone said that Google bought them out and it is still going to be around. Not sure about that.
@digitalrn I guess we'll have to wait and see about what happens with that. If they put it onto their new program to try and con us into using their Google+ I guess it'll be their way of trying to pull in more people.
I have also been dreading the 19th of April......I have finally settled on www.photoshop.com for my online editing tool. But I am sure gonna miss Picnik.
@wamstreet I just jumped onto the Picnik site and it's gone... I'm so sad about that. I was hoping I'd be able to get in one last collage or two. However, I Googled where it had gone and it wasn't anywhere. Google+ has created 'The Creative Kit' and people who have gone in and used it have reported that it nothing like Picnik, not even close to it.
So why close it down when it was doing so well? Why fix something that's not broken? Well, I guess we'll never know the answer to those questions. :(
