Today, I went to a book launch at the Logan North Library. It was great!
There was a pantomime going on for 'Harry Helps Grandpa Remember' by Karen Tyrrell. It's a book for children who are seeing their grandparents getting older and losing their memory.
I felt sad about it because I lost my Grandpa to Dementia and it could have been prevented; as the doctors didn't pick up on his blocked corroded arteries sooner.
But the message got through to the little kids there; as well as the adults.
Writer, poet, artist and prolific reader.... that's me.
I'm a collector of books, vinyls, coin purses and strange handbags... that's me too.
Otherwise, I love...
@annelis@kerenmcsweeney Thank you both for your lovely comments... it was lots of fun; especially when Harry (the guy in the red shirt) was almost crushed when they played Musical Chairs! He seemed to vanish from sight! :P
