Changing the Dressings by mozette

Changing the Dressings

During the week, Dad helped change the dressings on my arms. The tape the surgeon had used was starting to catch on everything and pull on the hair on my arms.

So, Mum and I went to the chemist and asked what we could do to remove it as painlessly as possible. They showed us some little patches soaked in something that dissolved the glue in the bandages.... as soon as we got it all off, I shaved my arms!

And really do you blame me?

Now, we've been back to the doctor and he's happy with my recovery. I get the stitches out next Thursday.
Neat stitches

@wendyfrost Dr Michael Lanigan is my plastic surgeon - and he's fantastic. I do recommend him to everyone who wants to get things done.

One of my neighbour's kid's had his top lip ripped off by his puppy - a Kelpie I think it was - and I told her to get him to Michael straight away. She took him to Dr Lanigan and he fixed his face/lip... Dale now looks as though he's never had anything go wrong. He can even kiss, talk and eat properly, can feel everything in the top lip and there's only a tiny little 2 - 3 mm scar on the left side (if you look carefully) that you can barely see. He's so grateful that I put him onto this surgeon... so is his mother.
