Tools of my Trade

Our little photography group's current challenge theme is "Tools of the Trade" so I kicked off with the tools of my trade. Sadly as I work in a school office I don't use very exciting tools but this is the only photo opportunity I had today so this is what I have to upload. The headphones are for audio typing and the page on the typing stand is the timetable for all the teachers.

On a happier note the inset is a Post-It note that my younger daughter wrote for me about three years ago. I still have it stuck on my computer so it greets me every morning. (P.S. I am mummy not mommy - I don't know why she wrote that!)
I may be the other side of the globe, but my desk is spookily similar!

I wish my desk was similar but it's much more untidy.

Hard to think of you desk-bound in a black and white world; your shots are usually full the joys of the outdoor world.

@petehawley Guess a desk is a desk wherever we are in the world - office work is really no different here than it was in the UK. I just have to type Maori words here rather than Welsh ones - I was a bit more successful with the Welsh!

@susiemc It was the end of the day before I headed for home so everything had been cleared away apart from what I needed as props for my photo. It definitely doesn't look tidy normally!

@snaphappi You hit the nail on the head Maggie. I'd say I'm much more of an outdoors type of person but being stuck in a office all day helps pay the bills! Maybe the b&w reflects how drab it feels to me being stuck in a windowless room 5 days a week.
