Our FB group has been given another seven photography techniques as our challenge for this week. Low key is one of them.
Fab capture. Was it difficult to do?

@hayleymaxwell Thanks. It wasn't difficult but it was a bit of trial and error getting the light like this. I had the room dark and initially tried a torch from different angles which gave highlights on just parts of the vase. The light on this was created by having the lights on in another room and then the door very slightly ajar so that it just shone on the edge of the vase. Bit of trial and error to get it how I liked it. It's on a black tile with a black cloth as a backdrop.

@nickspicsnz Thanks Nick. I think I need to give low key a go. It gives some interesting effects.

@alinz @paul10 @ladymagpie @kwind @rickster549 @janewinfrey @deborah63 @laroque Thank you so much. It's fun to play around at the moment now the evenings are darker - but give it a couple of months and I'll be counting down to spring and wishing for lighter evenings again.
