Beautiful sunny winter's day today but not a very blue sky due to clouds and left over mist. I expect this view is even better when the sky and sea are bright blue. I liked the misty hills of the Coromandel in the distance though.
It was a friend's 40th birthday so our family went with two other families for a walk at Waharau Regional Park. Bush walk up to this viewpoint, then a walk back down the hill, followed by bacon (cooked on a portable barbecue) rolls, yum!
