A Carpet of Yellow

I had to go to Pukekohe this evening and I drove past this little park with a carpet of bright yellow leaves under this ginkgo tree. It was so striking I parked the car so I could take a few photos.

Black and yellow make an interesting combination - it is almost a contre-jour effect, the leaf colour replacing the light source.
