Making Mats

Camera Club tomorrow so tonight I made the mats for my photos.

One reason I haven't been here much recently is because I’ve been spending every spare minute working on a photobook for a friend's 50th birthday. OMG it’s taken soooo long to put together. I had to choose a selection of photos from about 2000 and ended up with about 175. Finally finished today so hopefully the book will be delivered to me in time for me to send it to the UK for the big day. Fingers crossed it looks OK in print.
Interesting capture and looks like the drawing boards I used to use.

You are good making your own boards. Photo books are so much fun to do but quite time consuming.

A long drawn out task that must have been but so worth all the trouble, your recipient will be thrilled I'm sure. The best presents are the ones you take lots of thought & care over.

What a lovely gift for your friend. I'm sure it will be worth all the time you've spent on it and your friend will be very grateful 😌

@ladymagpie @julzmaioro @happypat @paul10 @rickster549 @denidouble Thanks very much for your comments. The photobook is of my friend's visit to us in January this year so hopefully full of nice memories for her.

P.S. I was informed last night that I've been promoted from B Grade to A Grade at camera club. It was a bit daunting knowing I was being judged at the same level as all the experts at the club (it seems like most of them are members/honours members of the Photographic Society of New Zealand - there's even one or two judges for the PSNZ!). So I was pleased to get Top Print again last night (with my chain store prints and home-made mats!) even though I was only up against two other members who had submitted prints. The print was a slightly mistier version that was taken the same day as Misty River which I posted here on 17 June.
