Winter Vines by nickspicsnz

Winter Vines

Our village used to be famous for it's grapes and wine. Sadly this is one of the very few paddocks that still has grapevines in it.

Thank you to everyone who has visited, commented on and fav'd my recent photos. I so appreciate your continued support. I'm still struggling to keep up and have had no time to comment. I'm starting to think it would be best if I take a break from 365 for a while.

I've been determined to finish my month of b&w and admire people who just shoot in b&w. But my month has made me realised there are too many beautiful colours in the world for me to shoot solely in b&w!
Great composition here!

I agree about the colours - I've never been a fan of black and white photos! I've been struggling here too - I can keep on top of my own uploading, but commenting has been more a challenge lately for me too.

TK grapes were something we use to get excited about every autumn they
are very flavoursome ... Sorry to hear you are taking a break but life does get in the way at times.. let's hope you can make the time and come back.
I to struggle with converting colour to black and white... I do love my colours..

I can just about see our house! Wonder how much longer we will have these vines for.

Cool shot. They've really kept some mighty straight lines with those vines.

great monochrome. Don't let 365 wear you down. I now post infrequently when I have a half-decent shot that people may be interested in or I'm rather pleased with.

Cool b&w and yes haven't done a mth of b&w but could see it could be quite difficult

It makes for a really lovely shot with great lines going deeply into the scene.

Love the perspective here and a good use of b\w.

I think it is too stressful trying to keep to a specific requirement with 365. I'm a free agent and will do anything once but not twice - like a handstand! I like this in B&W.

@roachling Thanks Louise. I get back to colour again today (1 Sep) which is lucky as spring starts today.

@julzmaioro Thanks Julia. Maybe I'll find my photojo again with spring starting and evenings getting lighter - it's been a long winter.

@yorkshirekiwi Hmm, I wonder too - so much building going on.

@rjb71 @shirleydawn @kwind @elizmafourie @bkbinthecity @888rachel @rickster549 Thanks very much.

@theboxmanreturns Thanks. Maybe posting occasionally is the way to go.

@dawnee Thanks. I do like looking at b&w shots but I don't think I'm the sort of person who can shoot without any colour at all. But at least I know that now after my b&w month.

@taffy and @denidouble Thank you both.

@maggiemae Thanks. You have a great imagination, Maggie, so it's good you're a free spirit.
