A Train's Coming

While I was crossing the train track at sunset this evening I stopped to take some shots of the light on the tracks. This train came along while I was taking my photos.
Oh very cool!!!

@alophoto @deborah63 @paul10 @alinz @katrinanz @cmp @maggiemae @kwind @rickster549 @dawnee @jerome Thanks very much. If we want to walk into town from our house we have to cross the railway line. It's quite scary when a train passes as we're crossing because they are so close and it feels like they're going so fast. They also seem bigger because we're at track level rather than on a platform.

Great bursts of light as well as lines! I supposed you are well aware of photographers meeting tragic ends on active tracks??

So cool! All you need are the lights to tell the story! Well shot.

@taffy Thanks Taffy. In our village we have a pedestrian crossing over the railway lines and I'm standing on a part where pedestrians have to wait when a train comes along. The train does come very close though. I always found it a bit odd having to tell my girls to watch out for the railway, as well as the road, when they used to walk to primary school :)

@nickspicsnz Ah...as soon as you wrote that I remembered traveling in NZ where the train and the road are one and the same!
