I'm posting early because I'm away for the weekend photographing a friend's daughter's wedding. I'm terribly nervous about it and actually had a nightmare last night - firstly about turning up late and missing the ceremony, then forgetting my camera, and then, once I'd fetched it, the battery running out :(
What a gorgeous image. Oh no - the responsibility must’ve really been playing on your mind! You take such lovely images so I’m positive all will be fine. Enjoy.
110% LOVE this image and your wonderful photo!!! You'll rock the wedding photos as well! I, too have had that sort of dream, and it means to me that I'm in actuality ticking off my check list so that I DON'T make any of those mistakes! Best to you and have a great time!
I photographed the wedding last weekend and, boy, was it hard. Thank you all so much for your positive support beforehand - you boosted my confidence considerably but I still felt sick when I woke up on the morning, lol! I took photos almost continuously for 12 hours and am now in the throes of editing. On the day unfortunately, after staying dry and being quite sunny all morning, it rained for the ceremony and just afterwards (it was on the beach) so we didn't get much chance to take formal group/wedding party photos. And afterward, at the reception the lighting was awful (the theme was black and gold so they'd hung black material around the walls, had black table clothes and black chairs. So sadly with the rain and the black my ceremony and reception photos are quite terrible. But luckily I've got some nice-ish pre-wedding ones of the bride and bridesmaids getting ready... just unfortunate the groom's not in them, lol! I just felt so rushed and pressured all day and blinkin' guests kept getting in the way! In the little screen on the back of my camera I thought I had a few nice shots, but when I downloaded them most were blurry or out of focus. I just hope that with a bit of editing I can get half a dozen for them. I was so disappointed that, for the first time for about 3½ years, I haven't wanted to pick up my camera or be involved in anything to do with photography this week. However, I had a photography date with @yorkshirekiwi to go to a Steampunk Festival today and I enjoyed it, so hopefully I've got my enthusiasm back again. Anyway, I may post a few of what I think are OK wedding ones on here so you can see the results of my labours. Thank you all again for your support - I'm very grateful.
Oh, I feel so bad for you and know the discouragement you feel 😞. I hope you have been able to come up with lots of good pictures when you started editing. Being a wedding photographer can be a STRESSFUL job.
