Cabbage White

Lots of these in the garden today before we mowed the lawn and chopped off all the dandelions. I think this butterfly is also called a Large White.

I know it as the Cabbage White and it is very common here. They love Stocks and I have planted some in my garden which are now blossoming. My quandary now is whether to spray the plants to save them from the butterflies and their caterpillars or enjoy the butterflies and give them the opportunity to propagate. Most probably I will take the second choice.
