In a recent storm a large branch had half cracked off "Dad's Tree" in our back garden. We hadn't had a chance to cut it off before we had more wind a couple of days ago and the branch fell completely. Luckily it fell into our garden otherwise it would have taken the fence down and landed on the new house that's being built behind us. It was a beautiful warm and sunny spring day today so Georgina and I spent a couple of hours clearing up the smaller branches. We couldn't get the main branch down though as it's wedged in the tree and is too heavy for us to move. Hubby will have to get the chainsaw onto it once he's fixed it.
Georgina and I also took down a couple of large bushes while we were out. I think it was the first time she's ever used a saw as I had to give her some tips on technique!
Would be good to have a big bonfire now to get rid of everything but we're too close to other houses.
