Cleaning Out the Gutters

Georgina weighs the least in our family so she draws the short straw and has to go up on the roof a few times a year to chop back bushes and clean out the gutters. How can they get so blocked up and overgrown in a few short weeks over winter?
This looks high but it’s the single storey part of our house. She’s not allowed to do the double storey part of the roof.

Good for Georgina.. Any blockages would of shown up with the rain over the weekend. I saw a house today that gutters were full of pretty yellow flowering succulent.. looked impressive but not very functional.
