Day 2 of our weekend away and we visited an old abandoned timber mill. After a guided tour around the mill and houses we were let loose with our cameras!
The valley, where the mill is located, is off the beaten track and probably took quite a while to get too back in the day. With 30 people working there, plus their families, they built up their own little settlement of homes. Some were lived in right up to early 2000s. I liked how the old posters on some of the walls helped to tell the story of the people who used to live there. The old truck, and other vehicles, outside would have been right at home at Smash Palace.
