Your wasps look different from ours in Texas. Yours seem to have fatter bottoms! :) What part of the world?
In my part of TX we have mostly yellow jackets (small with narrowish abdomens compared to the above, but otherwise look similar), and then some larger ones that have long thin midsections with larger bulbous butts.
