The Auld Kirk by nodrognai

The Auld Kirk

This is the spire of the Auld Kirk in Tayport. The Church was first built in 1607 although the present spire was not incorporated until 1794. It is a well known landmark in the town with its distinctive tilt. The clock still chimes the hour and half hour so there is no excuse for being late for an appointment.
Unfortunately it is no longer used for worship and I was unable to gain access to the graveyard where I could have obtained a better photo.
It was proving to be a great viewpoint for a solitary seagull as I took this shot.
Beautifully captured and interesting info. I love all this old brickwork.
