@slang tx Sean... but... uhm... yah! exactly! totally planned... NOT! ba haa haaa! took something like 50 shots from a gazillion angles... this came out best, but cropped it tight mostly 'cos there was an annoying green leaf cluttering up the background and i was unable to clone it into the void ;p [my lighting strategy is very simple... point lights at subject... the end!]
That happened to me on gerbera daisy! I couldnt crop out this one annoying thing and it left it all centered. I didnt post it but I should have. I like this and I love flower shots!
@sheg tx ShEiLaG (that's hard to type!)... i am so desperate for summer and inspiration that i went out at 9:30pm to buy flowers so i'd have something to shoot... lame or what?
@sheg i haven't ventured into raw yet... maybe one day... i've only just started to use manual settings and manual focus on a semi regular basis... baby steps :)
@northy well i never really did either and a friend of mine who is a great photog told me to always shoot in raw with a jpeg back up. so I do but the raw take forever to go thru. I cant go anywhere without shooting 300 shots... even if 285 are bad lol.
@365slfportraits y'well... i can understand that... not for everyone... the main thing i like about it is the burst of colour... and i'm not tempted to eat them ;p
accept of the fact that i am not a fan of photographing flowers :D
