For this week's Street Photography Now challenge: "Photograph like an Assassin, suddenly and silently" originally set by Osamu Kanemura
I struggled with this concept... is this a ninja thing where you make sure you aren't spotted? or a "take 'em by surprise and in their face" thing? my 12 year old (going on 25) informs me that there are two kinds of assassins - those that always stay hidden, and those that come out of nowhere but want to be seen... so...
As for my decision to leave in colour... I think the brick wall looks better with some colour... and then of course, you get to see his scrumptious red shoes... but feel free to debate my decision :)
@maggiemae ha ha ha! my hubby looked at the photo and asked me how i got the guy to stand still... i explained he was moving... he asked me how i managed that... i explained that the guy never saw me coming... his final comment was: "guess that's why you're still alive" ;p
From the thumbnail I thought it was b&w, then I thought it was selectively coloured so I think keeping it coloured is perfect here...best of both worlds:)
Love this, so which kind of assasin were you then? did he see you?
@monika64 tx!! he didn't act like he'd seen me, but i would have been awfully hard to miss! he was coming out of the alleyway and i was facing in... with a big ol' camera... :)
I think this is fantabulous! I liked it even before I read your description. As an answer to the challenge, I think you are spot on. This is clearly category two! ;-)

I've totally failed at SPN this week. Maybe it would help if I left the house. ;)
Great shot, you Ninja girl, you. You're getting really good at this street photography thing. I love how you are getting bolder!
