today was an epic fail ;p i went out with the intention of shooting pretty subway shots for a local photo contest... and ended up with THIS... now i ask you... does this count as pretty?
@carolinedreams tx Caroline... no - not really a fail... just not the kind of thing they are looking for for the competition, and i had specifically set out to shoot competition worthy shots... but i quite liked this one pretty much more than any other ;p yes, silver efex... using the full dynamic harsh preset and selenium tones, plus a few other tweaks along the way
Great processing -- I like the grittiness, the patterns/textures. To me, it makes a great image (though I suspect not what the contest folks were after for a pretty subway shot!)
This is awesome, great mood and good choice for processing. The knee and the sign are like clues for solving this mystery in noir... Fav. But yeah, this might be a bit too edgy for the contest :)
Fantastic textures and tones on this - really gritty feel. Probably not going to invite people onto the subway (apart from lots of photographers) but a great shot
This is ace, it has a kind of comic book feel....and that leg is just surreal :)
I'll be following ya - been meaning to for ages but sloth normally gets the better of me :)
Love the different layers in this. Open doors are normally inviting, but this feels rather ominous. :)
I do like the b&w processing. It reminds me of the gritty feel Jase gets.
I love it! This is awesome. I think you should submit the one you took tomorrow though (ha...does that make sense?) for public appeal. I think. No epic fail. Not even a teensy bit...but your July 2nd photo is fantastic too. Really fantastic...and also maybe more TTC friendly.
It is a magnificent picture, love the processing, the composition, that leg, the different lines & structures..you would have to give it another shot/chance :-)
Oh,Fav for sure
Very cool pic. The processing and lines are terrific. The lone leg with the black socks is a wonderful touch. Yeah, probably not the pic to use for the contest :)
I like the ominous feel and the slight sense of mystery - there's no way I want to get on that train though - I would be looking around for a chalk outline!
Damn, that's great! Someone mentioned Alfred Hitchcock. Yep, there's definitely a murder mystery/suspense story waiting to be told here. Who does the headless knee belong to? The suspect? An accomplice? An innocent bystander who witnessed the murder and who is now on the killer's hit list?
Ok, I'm done. LOL
